Details April 24, 2010 Mail Server facing Delayed Delivery of Emails due to Spamming by few domains on the server

Hello Everyone !

This is just to keep you informed that we are seeing some delays in mail delivery due to spamming by few domains on the server. We have already disabled the services for the responsible domains, however before the issue came to our notice there were already 35000+ mails on the sever which included few thousand legitimate mails as well. It is not possible to isolate the spam mails in simple manner and it takes time to delete each mail from those domains and leaving the legitimate ones intact for delivery.

Spam doesn't only causes delays, it also gets our mail server IP blacklisted which means that mails to Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and other webmail services dont get delivered at all. We then have to take alternate steps to keep things moving.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you during the course of the day. We assure you that we at Allianz Hosting have 0% Spam Tolerance Policy and will not allow any one to misuse our systems and cause problems for our other valued clients hosted on the server.

We will update the news as soon as the Spool comes back to normal delivery condition.
