 Connecting to SQL database using SQL Enterprise Manager
Solution
Please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Open the SQL Server Client Network Utililty
Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Client Network Utility

STEP 2: Click on the "Alias" tab

STEP 3: Click "Add" and enter the following information

Server Alias = SQL
Network Library = TCP/IP
Computer Name = SQL.DNSRACKS.COM
Port Number = 1433/1533

STEP 4: Click OK

STEP 5: Click OK
This will close out the Client Network Utility

STEP 6: Open Enterprise Manager
Open Enterprise Manager > Right Click "Microsoft SQL Servers" > Select "New SQL Server Registration" This will open a wizard > Click Next.

STEP 7: Select "SQL" Database
Select "SQL" from the list of available servers and "Add" it. Click Next.

STEP 8: SQL Server Authentication
Choose to connect using SQL Server Authentication.

STEP 9: Enter your username and password
Enter your assigned username and password. Keep on clicking next until the wizard is completed.

STEP 10 : Help ! If nothing works try this
